GIS/GPS – receiving GPS data

Receiving GPS Data

If you collect GPS or survey data using one of RMBL’s units, you must fill out a metadata form correctly before receiving your data.

If you have submitted the metadata, there is a 2-3 day turn around period between when we receive the metadata and when we send out the GPS data.<

If it has been longer than that, there may be one of two issues. First, there may have been a problem with your metadata (wrong form, incomplete, etc).

If this is the case, you should receive something via e-mail from the GIS/GPS tech. Second, there simply might be a delay in getting your data to you (during late June and July, the schedule is especially busy). If it has been longer than 4 or 5 days, send the GIS tech an e-mail as a reminder that you haven’t received anything (<a href=”mailto:gis@rmbl.org”>gis@rmbl.org</a>).
